Continuing on with his father’s work, Syaoran had set off to the excavation site. The day he returned was the same day Sakura had lost her memories and he had witnessed it though he didn’t know. Sakura had magical powers which had drawn her to the ruins where Syaoran was working. Tranced, Sakura didn’t know what she was doing, nor did Syaoran know how she got to the ruins and what she was doing there, especially at night. That is according to the anime. Based on the manga, Sakura was there in the morning to visit Syaoran and bring him some lunch since her brother was also there to check up the site.

Yukito, the high priest, delivered Syaoran and Sakura’s body to the dimensional witch to seek help as the Kingdom of Clow was being attacked after the Tsubasa had taken flight as they call it in the manga..

In the Kingdom of Ceres, Fai had placed to sleep a sorcerer and a King underwater. Upon emerging from the water, he had decided not to return to his own country and travel among worlds. According to the manga, after telling Chii that she will be the one to tell him when the King had awakened, he had somehow made her as another seal since he was the one who created her.

Meanwhile, in the Country of Japan, Kurogane was killing almost everyone he sees. Princess Tomoyo, the princess of the country, didn’t want anymore killings. Therfore, she had summoned Kurogane and had him transported to the witch, once again, for him to learn the meaning of strength since he is already the strongest in the country and he had no other opponent.

Their meeting is not at all a coinsidence. It was destined that they’d meet and travel together. And so they did. With the help of Mokona, they were able to understand each other and were able to find Sakura’s feathers one by one in the different worlds that they’ve been in. Fighting was never an obstacle for them. It was somehow a challenge for Kurogane, training for Syaoran, fun for Fai and worry for Sakura.
