The princess of the kingdom was missing and her uncle had been conducting searches for her. Guards who work for her uncle were actually betraying him, not wanting the princess in his hands.

Tomoyo also had magical powers that was useful for her uncle for he wanted to entrap everyone inside the cage and never get out and actually have eternal darkness.

With the help of Syaoran, Sakura, Kurogane, Fai, Tomoyo’s pet bird, and the kid who had sheltered Tomoyo, they were able to restore their country and had her uncle caught. Of course, there’s also the never ending help of Yuuko.
