Card Captor Sakura is a story of an ordinary grade 4 girl, Kinomoto Sakura, who suddenly discovers that she has power within her. When she came home from school, she heard a noise coming from her fathers library on the basement. Then she came to look and saw a book that she saw in her dream. When she opened it, she read the first card she saw. Then, out came the wind as she read it and flew all the cards. The cards didn’t make a mess on the florr but instead, they went out of the house and scattered them sleves around town. Now, she was tasked by Cerberus, or whom she calls Kero-chan, to bring them back before they destroy or rule the world. Then came a small stuff-like animal, Kero-chan, more known as Cerberus, to help her through the card capturing.

As times and days pasted within Sakura’s life, she went through many challenges and hardships together with her best friend and cousin, Tomoyo Daidouji. Tomoyo found it amusing to make costumes for her friend in every battle she comes into in capturing the Clow Cards.

The Clow Cards are no ordinary cards. They are enchanted cards in which you summon them to use. They were created by the greatest magican in the time, Master Clow Reed, as Yue and Cerberus calls him. Before he died, he sealed the cards in a book called the Clow Book, which he made Cerberus the Guardian. Then, he made Yue the judge to which who their master will be. He’ll come later in the series. And, when Clow Reed died, he reincarnated himself into two persons. It was shown in the manga volume 4 of the “Card Captor Sakura Master of the Clow”

Then came another student from Hong Kong, Li Syaoran, who was also tasked by his clan to capture the cards before Sakura could. At first, Sakura and Syaoran were rivals, but in the end, they found love for each other.

In the middle of everything came the 1st Movie in which Sakura, Tomoyo, Touya, Yukito and Kero-chan went to Hong Kong. Click here to read the summary of the 1st Movie.

After collecting all the cards, Yue popped out of Yukito and judged Sakura and Syaoran, according to the series. But in the manga, Yue only judged Sakura. After defeating Yue, Clow Reed talked to Sakura and told her that she won’t be basing her powers from the Sun nor from the Moon. She’ll be basing her power from her own star. Here comes in the Star Key.

At first, Sakura couldn’t release the key cause she was chanting the same chant that she had with the Sealing Wand. But then realized that she had to make her own chant for the new staff.

Then, comes Eriol Hiiragizawa, an exchange student from England, to ruin the day for Sakura, which he also ruins the day for Syaoran cause Eriol was always around Sakura. And Syaoran didn’t like that. Eriol is said to be half of the reincarnated Clow Reed. As I said a while ago, according to the manga, Clow Reed reincarnated himself into two when he died.

Sakura was slowly changing the cards’ forms. From Clow Cards to Sakura Cards. She was able to complete them on the second to the last episode of the series, when she was battling Eriol to save her loved ones.

And at the last episode, Eriol was leaving back to where he came from, England. Before episode 69 ended, Syaoran was able to confess to Sakura about how he feels. But then, he was summoned back by his mother home on the next episode. Which leads Sakura to wait for him up until the 2nd movie.
